ACCREDITATION GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
GBAR conducts all accreditation activities as per international standards. General requirements apply to all organizations seeking recognition under GBAR’s schemes.
Organizations that audit and certify management systems like ISO 9001 or ISO 14001, ensuring processes meet international standards and continuous improvement is achieved.
GBAR accredits inspection bodies and professionals who assess products, processes, or services under structured scheme guidelines to ensure compliance and quality.
Training providers are accredited for in-person, virtual, or eLearning formats, covering short to long-term programs under structured, quality-driven standards.
Individual training courses of various lengths and subjects are accredited to ensure content quality, relevance, and alignment with defined learning outcomes.
Certification bodies that validate individual competencies under ISO 17024 are accredited for ensuring transparent, ethical, and standardized certification of skilled personnel.
Testing and calibration laboratories are assessed and accredited under ISO 17025 to ensure technical competence, operational consistency, reliability, and valid results for clients across various industries and testing scopes.
Organizations certifying products under national and international conformity standards are accredited, except those governed by EU Directive 765/08, which fall outside the official scope of GBAR’s accreditation authority.
The registration scheme certifies professionals as competent and ethical in their fields, offering stakeholder assurance through structured GBAR assessment criteria.
